Philippians 01 – How to Have Joy in the Lord – Part 1

EPHESIANS 05:21-24 – LEARNING TO WALK – PART 4
Ephesians 05:21-24 – Learning to Walk – Part 4

EPHESIANS 05:01-20 – LEARNING TO WALK – PART 3
Ephesians 05:01-20 – Learning to Walk – Part 3
Description: Chapter 5 is a continuation of what a Christian should look like and the way they should live. Getting saved is not the “end” of it all, it is the beginning! Some folks think that if they are saved – there is nothing else that needs to be done, but the Apostle Paul thinks differently. As we submit our will to the will of the Lord and He begins to renew our minds and hearts – we begin to change!
EPHESIANS 03 – RICH BEYOND MEASURE
Ephesians 03 – Rich Beyond Measure
Description: Paul is concerned for the churches as he sits in a Roman prison. He was afraid they would be stumbled because the Lord had allowed him to be arrested. The Apostle tries to reassure them that he considers it an honor and God’s will. It makes us think about how we react in a trial?
GALATIANS 06 – LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW
Galatians 06 – Love Fulfills the Law
Description: Living in the grace and mercy of Jesus does not mean that we have no human responsibility, but it is worlds apart from living under the tyranny of the Law.
GALATIANS 05 – TRAPPED AGAIN
Galatians 05 – Trapped Again
Description: Gal 5:13-15 NKJV For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh: We have liberty to love and “yes” even to sin, but that sin(s) will just lead us back into the things that Jesus set us free from.
GALATIANS 02 – FAITH BY GRACE ALONE – PART 2
Galatians 02 – Faith by Grace Alone – Part 2
Description: This teaching is a continuation of chapter one, with a greater emphasis of not “riding the fence” between grace and the law. Ephesians 2:8–9 (NKJV) — 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
GALATIANS 01 – FAITH BY GRACE ALONE
Galatians 01 – Faith by Grace Alone
Description: There have always been people who preach a different gospel than what the Bible teaches! They “add too” or distort what the word of God says. And they have their greatest success with the “hurting” or “wounded” Christians. Because, when we are hurting, we are usually looking for a “back-door” to escape our problems. But please notice that the Apostle Paul says that it is not really “good news” = (gospel) – it is a lie only packaged to look like good news! Such a person was to be “accursed”!
I HAVE SEEN THE LORD! – RESURRECTION SUNDAY 2023
Description: On a day in which we proclaim that Jesus is alive we must pause to see if our lives reflect that wonderful reality.
2 CORINTHIANS 06:11 – 07:16 – CHANGED OR JUST BUSTED?
2 Corinthians 06b-07 – Changed or Just Busted?
Description: Has the church lost her first love? Have you? Do you know there is a way back? Revival comes through repentance and Godly sorrow produces repentance.
1 CORINTHIANS 15-16 – HOPE OF THE RESURRECTION
1 Corinthians 15 & 16 – Hope of the Resurrection
Description: Paul concludes his letter to the Corinthians explaining the hope of resurrection we have through Jesus Christ.
1 CORINTHIANS 13 – REAL LOVE
1 Corinthians 13 – Real Love
Description: Spiritual gifting without Agape love is powerless. The church in Corinth had the gifting(s) but lacked love for each other and ultimately the things of the Lord. Real love is costly.
1 CORINTHIANS 11:1-12 – YOU AIN’T THE BOSS OF ME! – PART 2
1 Corinthians 11:12-31 – You Ain't the Boss of Me! Part 2
Description: Times have certainly changed! Women wear short hair, men wear long hair. Women wear slacks and ties and men wear earrings. Women wear baggy pants and guys wear tight little girl jeans! Paul is saying in verse 16 – long hair or short is not a matter of church doctrine! Once again none of that is really the issue here! The issue is the godly “authority” and “government” of making Jesus our all-in-all!
1 CORINTHIANS 11:1-12 – YOU AIN’T THE BOSS OF ME!
1 Corinthians 11:1-12 – You Ain't the Boss of Me!
Description: Most people don’t like to be told what to do! We love “coaches” but we hate “bosses”. Jesus was more of a Coach than a boss. He was in the trenches the men not shouting out orders from an ivory tower, and yet all of creation has a structure of which he is head.
1 CORINTHIANS 09 – LOVE LIMITS LIBERTY
1 Corinthians 09 – Love Limits Liberty
Description: 1 Co 8:1 says that “knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” As Christians we have tremendous liberty and freedom, but knowledge of those freedoms is not enough! While we are enjoying those freedoms, we could stumble the unsaved, or those still entrenched in “religion”, or even our own brothers and sisters in the faith. A Christian’s knowledge of his/her liberties, and what freedoms they allow in their lives, must be seasoned with love. Many times our “rights” will need to be given up and replaced with love for others!
1 CORINTHIANS 07 – HITCHED OR DITCHED?
1 Corinthians 07- Hitched or Ditched?
Description: Is it better to be married or single? For a lot of people if they are one – they think the other would be better. The apostle Paul tries to give the pros and cons of both in regards to serving the Lord. This chapter is not so much a treatise on marriage as it is Paul’s advice on how to handle either situation.
1 CORINTHIANS 05-06 – HOUSE CLEANING
1 Corinthians 05-06 – House Cleaning
Description: It is easy to judge the world because it is in such a mess! But that is not the job of the Christian – that is the Lord’s. We are however called to judge sin inside the church. We see that plainly when the Apostle Paul corrects the church in Corinth for turning a blind eye to the man in a sexual relationship with his step-mother!
1 CORINTHIANS 02 – FOOL’S WISDOM
1 Corinthians 02 – Fool's Wisdom
Description: The church in Corinth lacked no spiritual gift, but they didn’t know how to use them properly. The Apostle Paul tells the Corinthians that the pure and sweet gospel is not without wisdom, but it is a wisdom that few in this world understand. The wisdom of this world is definitely not the wisdom of the Lord! They were letting their flesh get in the way of God’s work.
ROMANS 14 – EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW
Romans 14 – Every Knee Shall Bow
Description: “Romans 14:21 It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.” Love should always trump liberty!
ROMANS 13 – LIGHT IN A DARK WORLD
Romans 13 – Light in a Dark World
Description: This teaching couldn’t be more appropriate for the times in which we live! How are Christians supposed to live in a world full of evil and hate?
