1 CORINTHIANS 11:1-12 – YOU AIN’T THE BOSS OF ME! – PART 2

1 Corinthians 11:12-31 - You Ain't the Boss of Me! Part 2

by Pastor John W. Brown | 1 Corinthians

Description: Times have certainly changed! Women wear short hair, men wear long hair. Women wear slacks and ties and men wear earrings. Women wear baggy pants and guys wear tight little girl jeans! Paul is saying in verse 16 – long hair or short is not a matter of church doctrine! Once again none of that is really the issue here! The issue is the godly “authority” and “government” of making Jesus our all-in-all!

1 CORINTHIANS 11:1-12 – YOU AIN’T THE BOSS OF ME!

1 Corinthians 11:1-12 - You Ain't the Boss of Me!

by Pastor John W. Brown | 1 Corinthians

Description: Most people don’t like to be told what to do! We love “coaches” but we hate “bosses”. Jesus was more of a Coach than a boss. He was in the trenches the men not shouting out orders from an ivory tower, and yet all of creation has a structure of which he is head.

1 CORINTHIANS 09 – LOVE LIMITS LIBERTY

1 Corinthians 09 - Love Limits Liberty

by Pastor John W. Brown | 1 Corinthians

Description: 1 Co 8:1 says that “knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” As Christians we have tremendous liberty and freedom, but knowledge of those freedoms is not enough! While we are enjoying those freedoms, we could stumble the unsaved, or those still entrenched in “religion”, or even our own brothers and sisters in the faith. A Christian’s knowledge of his/her liberties, and what freedoms they allow in their lives, must be seasoned with love. Many times our “rights” will need to be given up and replaced with love for others!

1 CORINTHIANS 07 – HITCHED OR DITCHED?

1 Corinthians 07- Hitched or Ditched?

by Pastor John W. Brown | 1 Corinthians

Description:  Is it better to be married or single? For a lot of people if they are one – they think the other would be better. The apostle Paul tries to give the pros and cons of both in regards to serving the Lord. This chapter is not so much a treatise on marriage as it is Paul’s advice on how to handle either situation.
